Dr. John Stone
Rev. Dr. John Burwell Stone joined the Bensalem family as interim pastor in December 2020.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Stone holds degrees from Reformed Theological Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the University of South Carolina. He and his wife, Peggy live in Rockingham, North Carolina with their beloved cats and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Kristen Webb Thompson joined the Bensalem family as music director in April 2021.
A native of Troy, North Carolina, Kristen has led worship and music ministry since the age of 7. Prior to joining Bensalem, she served as accompanist at West End United Methodist Church for 18 years and Sardis United Methodist Church for 10 years. She and her husband, Brent live in Troy, North Carolina with their beloved dogs and cats, and enjoy spending time with their nieces and nephews.
Following in her mother's footsteps, Carolyn Kelly Kidd has served as Bensalem's treasurer since 2018.
Prior to serving as treasurer, she worked as a medical laboratory technologist at FirstHealth and a tax preparer with H&R Block. She and her husband, Johnny live in Bennett, North Carolina, where she enjoys spending time with their 3 children, their spouses, 5 grandchildren as well as their dogs and horses.
Clerk of the Session
A child of the church, Claire Monroe Taylor currently serves as the clerk of the Session.
In addition to her leadership role, Claire works as an pediatric occupational therapist with Moore Pediatric Therapy Services. She and her husband, James live in Eagle Springs, North Carolina with their 3 children.
A lifetime member of the church, Lydia Williams Conard currently serves as the moderator of the Diaconate.
In addition to her leadership role, Lydia actively serves in many different organizations in the community. A retired educator, she and her husband, David live in Jackson Springs, North Carolina.
